This exhibition and its accompanying catalog will display various unique, authentic documents: photographs, medals, letters, envelopes, receipts, business cards, invitations, etc. The exhibition, based on a collection of Lithuanian Judaica assembled by Michailas Duškesas, opens a window into the thriving life of the Kaunas Jewish community that was destroyed by the Holocaust. It peers behind the curtain of the Jewish religious world, introducing viewers to various political and social movements, and economic and educational activities, and tells the story of the important Jewish contribution to Lithuania’s economy, culture, and education.
