The concert is dedicated to the memory of the Jews killed in the Kaunas Ghetto.

The event will feature “Symphony from North Jerusalem” by the young composer Jievaras Jasinskis. The musical piece dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust will be performed by the Vilnius City St. Kristofors Chamber Orchestra (conductor Modestas Barkauskas) and classical jazz and folk musicians. The special guest of the event is Yaron Cherniak, a multi-instrumentalist from Israel playing various Middle Eastern instruments.

On 29 October 1941, the largest massacre of Jews in Kaunas took place in Ninth Fort, where 9200 people were killed, including men, women, children and grandparents.
