Kaunas has always been a multiethnic and multicultural city, and it remains so today. We invite you to listen to the fairy tales of Kaunasians of various ethnicities and get to know the different traditions and cultures of this city. During the CityTelling Festival, the fairy tales will be read in the original and Lithuanian languages by representatives of different nationalities: Romanians, Moldavians, Poles and Greeks. The oral, culinary and ethnographic heritage of these nations will also be presented. The event is part of the project “Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022”. In 2022, the fairy tales and stories of Kaunasians of various ethnicities will be published in a book “Fairy Tales of Kaunas Nations”.
