Čekiškė has had an active Jewish community for a long time, so many forgotten traces of Litvak culture have survived in the town.

The CityTelling Festival invites you to get acquainted with these cultural traces during a tour (a guide Eglė Simonaitienė). Later join the klezmer musicians for a concert! Klezmer music will be performed by violinist Boris Kirzner, percussionist Arkadijus Gotesmanas, accordionist Darius Bagdonavičius, and clarinetist Haroldas Parulis.

 

Venue of the event: the exhibition will start near St. Trinity Church, and the concert – near the synagogue.

 

IMPORTANT. The tour will start at 17:30, and the concert at 19:00 (duration 30 minutes).
