From ancient times in Kaunas lived people of different nationalities who worked in various fields and were an integral part of the city. This multiculturalism of Kaunas especially occurred in the Interwar period. The Russian intelligentsia not only was a part of cultural life of the Temporary Capital, but also left a valuable contribution to it. On the guided tour (in Lithuanian) you will hear about five the most famous Russians of Interwar Kaunas: M. Dobuzhinsky, L. Karsavin, A. Timinski, J. Karnavicius, V. Dubeneckis. While walking through their memorial sites we will discuss their merits to Kaunas and Lithuanian culture.
Guided tour will be held in Lithuanian.
