EVENING EVENT: Final Concert. In memory of the Kaunas Ghetto Orchestra

Idea. This is not an ordinary concert. It is a sensitive story about a tragic page in the city’s history, and about the eternal desire of human spirit to discover the faith and hope when facing the most brutal trials. Music of “The Last Concert“ will intertwine with the story. You will hear not only the pieces performed in the ghetto, but also a live narrative that resurrects testimonies of survivors and biographies of talented musicians. One of the most unique elements of the event is a symphonic piece created in Kaunas Ghetto – “Fantasy in Yellow” (composer Percy Haid); for the first time after the war it will be performed in Lithuania. Concert organizers would like to express their sincere gratitude for this opportunity to Israel historian Rami Neudorfer.
