Audiovisual storytelling about the forgotten past „Memoirs of the mansion. Let’s continue…“
In just one exceptional day special for CityTelling Festival we are opening one of Maironis mansion vaults, that no one has come in for a long time. At the beginning of Lithuanian independence bar “Pegasas”, which many residents of Kaunas remember, was established in the old vault. That day the spaces will come alive and tell not only the stories of the noisy bar, where the most extraordinary personalities gathered, but also memories about kindergarten, that during the Soviet period operated in the mansion, and apartments, which were located in the other flank of the mansion. These residents were the closest neighbours of the museum!

We invite you to an audiovisual tour – to visit the newly opened space to hear the unique, so far undiscovered and fascinating story of the Maironis mansion, composed of authentic stories, imagine daily routine of that time as it is captured in the photos and various items, and even maybe meet a group of loyal visitors of “Pegasas”, who will gladly share their memories. You will also be able to leave your memories of this place and thus continue the memoirs of the mansion. We continue the story…
